The CLP has been working very closely with many organizations over the winter. The interaction with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) continues to be positive and constructive in defining the circumstances and areas for herbicide application. Hoping not to jinx this before permits are approved, it appears that we will be able to prudently apply herbicides for Curly Leaf Pondweed in early spring, and for Eurasian Milfoil later in the Spring.
In the past years, the acreage that was approved was minimal. We are working to get more acreage permitted this year.
The Letter of Notification for herbicide application in 2022 has been mailed.
